NO COLOR

Thanks to all who commented on my last post about saturated color. And special thanks to those who gave suggestions about scarves. I ordered some online, and will use them to brighten up some outfits!

I had a busy weekend with three grandchildren here, so did not get to work on any styling, but I do have a couple of photos of outfits I wore this week. They are not colorful at all, but I am okay with black, white, and gray, as long as I don’t wear them every day.

I do love these soft velvety pants, and the fluffy warm vest. Just perfect for a chilly day!

Thanks for stopping by. See you next week!

  1. Very much like the pants and the belt. However, I like the *length* of the white vest better than the longer length of the dark vest. I think the shorter vest seems more slimming.

Have you noticed that black and white can have a very sophisticated look?

  2. Hi Susan, those trousers look the bee’s knees, perfect for winter and a great cut. I find myself in grey and black much of the time. And I agree with Anne on length, maybe it’s something to do with the thirds rule, which I still struggle with.
Wishing you a happy week ahead, hugs, x.

  3. Love the black and grey. I thought the velvet might make me look larger but after seeing your outfit I think I will give them another look. Any suggestions for a good deal on velvet pants?

  4. These are actually thin-wale corduroy, but super soft and velvety. I got them at Rugged Wearhouse for $5.99 🙂 The brand is Gloria Vanderbilt, so you might be able to find them somewhere.

  5. Both looks are great.

You didn’t mention what kind of handbag you will carry, but it’s an opportunity for some of that saturated color you crave. I’m so glad that handbags and shoes do not match any more
