Almost didn’t get my Sunday post out today, because we had a busy weekend, and I have not taken any photos in a few days. But I did look to see what I had that I could show you, so here goes.

The feature photo is another effort at styling one of my print dresses, but I did not include it in the last post. Here is a comparison:

The next outfit is leftover from my jean jacket styling:

Not my favorite, but it was worth a try.

So, these outfits are like leftovers. Keep them around for a few days, and then discard  😉    I have worn worse-looking things in my day, believe me, but neither of these are in my favorites category.

Hope to be back soon with some FALL outfits.  Still hot, but counting down the days until…wait for it….SWEATER WEATHER 🙂

  1. Well, I actually do like it now that I think about it. I think it was just so hot the day I tried it on, that it colored my opinion. 😉

  2. Hi Susan, leftovers usually make a satisfying meals and I think these do.
The longer dark cardi looks so neat and slimming, so don’t chuck that one out. And the long dress and jeans jacket just needs a tweak in the footwear department IMHO, then you’ll find you have another tasty dish on your menu!
    Hugs and keep cool, x.

    1. Thanks, Mary. My readers have changed my mind about the long cardi look. It is now a keeper. And great idea about changing footwear for the other outfit. I think I will work on that.

  3. Hi Susan!
I like both cardigans with the dress. Speaking of the dress, I think it’s great that the border on the hemline hits at just the right length for you. That would be some kind of miracle for me! I have to have everything hemmed, so if I bought that dress, I’d end up spending more money on the alterations than I spent on the dress! And I wouldn’t have the cute border at all! In my next life, I want to be talking! Lol!
Still hot in Delaware, too! Come on, sweater weather!

    1. Hi Marie, most dresses are too long for me also. I happened to find these in the junior section. Sometimes I can find things there if they have any XL sizes, which these are. And I just walked outside and it is COOL. Yay!

  4. Susan,
I think the long black dress with jean jacket looks very sheek!!!
And I love the basic black footwear!
The patterned dress looks fantastic however you style it!

    1. Thanks, Susan! I don’t hate it, I just don’t know where I would wear it. And I do still like my little fall dresses. 🙂

  5. Gosh I’ve been there Susan when you feel like all you’ve done is wear ugly stuff or sweats and nothing was blog worthy! You have a high standard b/c these look fine though you usually look better. Where are you located? I can’t remember but I know it’s down south and I know you keep mentioning how hot it is. Will we be living close to each other when I’m in North Carolina?

    1. Hey Girl, yeah, sometimes you just have to live life. It is not always convenient to get dressed in something you have never posted and stand on the porch and photograph yourself 😉 At least I don’t have to worry about coordinating with a photographer or finding a good location. (I don’t know how you do all that!) But this weekend was all about spending time with family and friends, and blogging just didn’t fit in. We live in north Georgia, so not too close to where you will be, but closer than now for sure. Maybe we can meet up somewhere in the middle one day. Sounds like a good girls’ trip!
